We understand it can be difficult to be away from your pup for a few weeks, but we do not recommend visitation during the board and train process as it can severely interfere with their transition and learning which can prolong the entire training process and add unnecessary stress and confusion for your dog. You will receive text and video updates on a weekly basis to inform and document your dog's progress, and you are more than welcome to contact us and check in at any time.

In the end your dog's overall success is dependent on your understanding on the training and ability to maintain it. Therefore, following the completion of our board and train programs, we will provide you with a two-hour go home session upon pickup (as well as additional follow-up private sessions), teaching you how to properly handle your newly trained pup so you can continue to maintain all the training at home.

Please note: Dogs with severe people aggression and / or a previous bite history will incur an additional handling fee of $1500 for the obedience board and train packages.

FAQS About Boarding and Training

Will my dog forget who I am after a board & train?
Your dog will absolutely remember you and be so excited to see you after their board & train. Owners who work with us actually find that their relationship with their dog grows even stronger (and their connection deeper) after their dog returns from our program.

Where will my dog be staying?
We operate out of our home and that is where your dog will be the entirety of their program; living with us (not in a kennel run or outdoor facility). Dogs sleep in their own individual crate inside our home, in the same climate-controlled environment we live in.

Will I get any updates during their board and train?
Yes! You will receive regular progress updates with photos, videos and additional information we've gathered for you throughout the training process, so you can stay connected with your pup and follow along with their transformation.

Will my dog be interacting with other dogs?
Your dog will not be playing or running around with other dogs during the program but will be learning healthy socialization. This involves your dog working in close proximity to other dogs and learning how to control their behavior, whether it be over-excitement, reactivity, or aggression. The focus is on making you, as the handler, the most important thing in their life.

Are you able to help with any serious behavioral issues like aggression?
Yes, we specialize in behavior modification and have many years of experience working with severe dog and people aggression, anxiety, resource guarding, any other behavioral challenges.

How do I know my dog will be safe?
Dogs are never left unattended or unsupervised. When not directly interacting with us, they are safely crated and camera-monitored. We use high quality training equipment and do not take any unnecessary risks that could result in any injuries or a dog escaping. Dogs are always contained in a vehicle-safe crate when being transported.
We recently had our 1 year old Rottweiler Max stay with Cynthia at High Level K9 for a five week board and train and couldn’t be more pleased! Before, during, and after the training, Cynthia always made herself available to answer all questions and concerns. She was always prompt to provide us with our weekly updates and videos as well. Throughout the entire process she was kind, patient, and professional. As far the training itself, Max is a very large, powerful, stubborn alpha male personality dog with lots of energy and anxiety. He refused to listen, be walked (he liked to walk us), and would fight to avoid his crate. I cannot say how surprised I was when we saw Max being walked in loud public places like Costco and department stores with zero issues, while refusing to be distracted by his environment. After returning home, it was clear that Max had been well taken care of, and he had even created a bond with the trainer, Cynthia. While we have yet to place Max in a place with distraction to observe his behavior, we have trained with him daily. We are happy to say he came home listening to commands, played fetch (never did before) and now we walk him with zero issues, no longer him walking us. What used to be a literal tug of war to get him into the crate has now turned into Max listening and going into his crate upon command. Considering how extremely stubborn we know Max to be, we were thankful that Cynthia was able to perform no small feat in training him. While the training now continues at home, Cynthia has provided a fantastic foundation and ground level for us to continue to build on.

High Level K9 lives up to its name. Cynthia has a brilliant grasp of dog psychology and knows how to bring out a dog’s full potential. She’s equally skilled at developing high-level working dogs and helping everyday owners train their family pets.As a professional trainer with a few stripes of my own, I’ve been seriously impressed by her work. Cynthia’s approach is no-nonsense, efficient, creative, and laser-focused on results—whether it’s K9 sport or solving the day-to-day behavioral issues most owners struggle with. Working with her is a privilege for anyone who gets the chance.

Cynthia has not failed to surprise me, she is an amazing trainer all around I discovered Cynthia through a buddy of mine, I took my Dogo (Molly) she is six months old currently to her puppy boarding school and I was nervous at first but every dollar was worth it before my Dogo was trained she had no manners. She jumped on the couches, jumped on people, bit people and listened to no commands hard to take anywhere and only went to the bathroom in her crate which was my fault for not having her on a schedule. when I got her back she was a completely different dog. She listened to every command had manners stopped jumping on people. She has yet to bite anybody And is so much calmer I can take her anywhere with me and she only goes to the bathroom where I tell her to, Very exciting stuff. I plan on continuing training with Cynthia. I 100% recommend anyone with an untrained dog to go to Cynthia!

We took our 8 month old (at the time) dogo argentino to Cynthia, and we honestly can't say anything else other than amazing and knowledgeable. Thanks to her, our pup is now fully off leash trained which allows him to do more dog stuff without us worrying. I definitely recommend High Level K9 for your pup.

When I first contacted High Level K9, my puppy was extremely reactive and a handful to manage. After completing the board and train program, he was like a completely different dog -- calm, obedient, and so much easier to handle. It was a huge relief and made a big difference. Through ongoing training with High Level K9, my dog is now fully off-leash trained and actively working on protection training. It's been an incredible experience to give him the freedom to be off-leash while having complete confidence in his obedience. High Level K9 truly cares about the long-term success of both the dog and the owner. Their training isn't just about quick results; they provide tools and support to maintain progress. I'm grateful for their high-level expertise and highly recommend them to anyone looking for real, lasting improvements in their dog's behavior.

We just got our 5 months old German shepherd/cattle dog mix puppy, she has a great personality but she is full of energy and super distracted. Our main concern is obedience since we have a cat at home as well. We searched and met with different great trainers but none of them felt quiet right for 'Subi' until we met with Cynthia. She took our puppy for 2 weeks boarding training and the results were amazing. Upon picking her up, we had a training session where Cynthia showed us what she worked on and we loved it! The way Subi is more calm and listens to commands, the way she is more focused on us instead of her surroundings while still being a happy puppy is priceless! We will continue to get private sessions with Cynthia and recommend her to anyone in need.

Cynthia helped me devise a meal plan for raw feeding. She also helped show me great techniques for recall.
She has always answered my questions and has become a true mentor for anything dog related. Highly recommend!
